Full Itinerary

Day 1/ Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire has a diversified landscape with nine different vegetation zones. Baobab trees, Africa’s largest, dot the terrain, dwarfing the animals that feed underneath them. The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, is home to elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a variety of colorful birds.

The park is well-known for having the largest elephant population in Tanzania. During a safari, you’ll be able to silently see numerous elephant families interacting. If you pause for a picnic lunch in the park’s observatory, you’ll be able to see animals drinking water in the river (and many times lions attacking a thirsty zebra or wildebeest). Dinner and overnight in a camp/ lodge.

Day 2 / Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you’ll embark for a full-day game drive in the Great Rift Valley’s Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its tiny size of only 205 square miles, this lovely park is recognized for its beauty and exceptionally thick acacia woodland with large figs and mahogany trees, which is home to baboons and blue monkeys. The park also contains buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a Hippo pool, where large numbers of hippos congregate.

Lake Manyara is well-known for its birds (about 400 species), and it is one of the few areas where the ground hornbill and crested eagle can be seen. This park is well-known for its tree-climbing lions and flamingos on the shoreline. The wildlife drives take place along the lake’s edge, offering breathtaking vistas of giraffes and buffalos in the foreground and the lake and flamingos in the backdrop. Dinner and overnight in a camp/ lodge.

Day 3 - 4 / Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Today you will drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, where the Great Migration occurs. The drive up the crater highlands today is breathtaking, with a stop at the rim for a birds-eye view of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As you proceed, the vast Serengeti will open out before you as far as the eye can see. In Kiswahili, Serengeti means “endless plains,” and the park encompasses 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers) and is home to nearly 2 million huge species.

Among them are over a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators including as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the park’s abundance of prey. The area is home to rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares, in addition to almost 500 bird species. Dinner and overnight in a tented camp/ lodge.

Day 5 / Serenget to Ngorongoro Highlands

You’ll get up early today to go on a safari before breakfast. You’ll be able to watch the animals while they’re more active, and the sunrise will be stunning. Watching the sunrise on the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. After the game drive, return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, the World’s 8th Natural Wonder. With 2,000-foot-high walls and a 102-square-mile crater bottom populated by practically every species of East African wildlife, including the rare black rhino, the crater is a virtual Noah’s Ark.

The crater contains the highest concentration of fauna in the world. It has a river, multiple marshes, a flamingo-filled soda lake, a forest, and wide grasslands, as well as a soda lake that appears to be steam from above. The enormous bull elephants that reside here have unusually large tusks due to the strong mineral content of the volcanic soil and grasses. Dinner and overnight in a camp/lodge.

Day 6/ Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Descend to the crater bottom very early in the morning for a day of game spotting in one of the world’s most amazing sites. After a picnic lunch near Hippo Pond, you’ll go for additional game viewing in the afternoon. Then, drive along the crater rim and return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport or your chosen hotel for ongoing vacation schedule.
