Full Itinerary

Day 1/ Arrival in Arusha

A Shangaza representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer to your Arusha lodging, where you will spend the night, relax, and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2/ Tarangire National Park

In the morning, our safari guide will take you up from your Arusha hotel. We’ll travel to Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road over gently rolling Maasai plains with occasional acacia trees. As we travel forward, we’ll see many Maasais wandering along the road, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.

Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant herds, but it also includes a wide variety of other creatures. The seasonal marshes, savanna, and life-giving Tarangire River will be visible from the open roof of our cutting-edge safari car. Endeavor to spot creatures such as zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to mention a few. We might spot lions stalking prey or leopards gazing from the trees above.

You’ll drive to one of our hand-picked luxury partner lodges for dinner in a fine restaurant, a relaxing dip in the pool, and a spacious room.

Day 3/ Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will journey to Karatu, the verdant highlands of the Iraqw people, where they cultivate wheat and corn. Along the journey, we’ll drive through the misty rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might encounter baboons, leopards, and elephants in the dense foliage. When you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to observe the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater before going on to the Serengeti National Park, where you will reach around lunchtime.

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s largest park, and it contains a wide variety of landscapes and habitats, including grassy plains, wetlands, lakes, savannah, and mountains. After an extended game drive, you will be driven to your lodge, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4/ Serengeti National Park

You will spend the entire day discovering the park, its wildlife, and the stunning landscape. The Serengeti is home to a wide variety of animals, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is best known for the massive herds of zebras and wildebeest that migrate across the plains. The amount of rain that falls each year, which varies from year to year, determines the animals’ journey. Predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions may be sighted among the moving herds.

Day 5/ Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you’ll take one more Serengeti game drive before departing for Ngorongoro Crater. When you arrive at the crater’s edge in the afternoon, you’ll get your first view of what awaits you the next day: sparkling streams, broad grassland, and an unlimited number of animals. You’ll spend the night at a neighboring lodge on the rim of the Crater.

Day 6 / Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic crater. It has a width of approximately 20 kilometers and a depth of 610 meters, and it is recognized for its rich biodiversity. In addition to the Big Five, several springs attract animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks, and over 500 bird species.

You’ll stop for lunch before continuing your game viewing in the crater. You will be driven to your Karatu lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after a lengthy game drive.

Day 7 / Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet diversified park, after breakfast. The park is named after a tiny salt lake. It is home to thousands of flamingos and around 500 other bird species. It floods and dries over a huge section of the park with the seasons. While you explore the park, you may encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, with luck, lions reclining in the trees. In the afternoon, you will return to Arusha or Airport for your ongoing vacation schedule.
